We are always looking for people to get involved as media producers and in other logistical roles. Please introduce yourself at our volunteer signup page and subscribe to one or more of our email lists (all Houston lists have the imc-Houston prefix; click on a list to subscribe or view the archives). Working Group Volunteer Contacts

There are already a number of groups that are working together around certain areas of interest. Why wait for a personal invitation? If you want to get involved, please subscribe to the relevant email list below and send a message introducing yourself! But don't feel like you have to contact somebody before you publish something yourself.

This is the general list and is usually used for news fwding, and announcements.
Announce: Email list:imc-houston-announce at lists.indymedia.org (replace the "at" with the @).
This list is very low traffic (less than five emails per month) for people who want to be informed of houston indymedia events.
Process: Email list: iimc-houston-process at lists.indymedia.org (replace the "at" with the @).
The list for individuals who have signed the HIMC Mission Document and attended at least two HIMC meeings, including at least one general meeting, and begun volunteering in a work group.
Radio: Email list: imc-houston-radio at lists.indymedia.org (replace the "at" with the @).
For those involved in Houston IMC's weekly radio program (Mondays at 6:30 p.m.) on 90.1 FM KPFT.

The video team organizes regular screenings of independent documentaries around Houston. It also coordinates video coverage and collaborative productions, and provides access to shared equipment and facilities. We are interested in donations of camcorders to loan out to video activists.
