On Sunday morning we decided to scout more widely and made it back in to Montrose.

I talked to my friend Matt in Austin who told me Chonicle said that the Galleria was open. After charging my cell phone a little bit, manually(above). We headed up Rice to the Galleria, which was like Dawn of the Dead. It was full of people and had nearly half of their stores open, many people were shopping for fancy clothes and other stuff as though power was not out in most of the city.
After charging computers and phones, we left, had a fantastic lunch at DiMassi's Mediterranean Buffet, which was the only thing Open at the strip mall at Postoak and Richmond, and then biked east on Richmond into the Montrose neighborhood. Half of our apartment complex has power, the half me and my girlfriend live in does not. In a different unit of my complex, the wind tore up the tar paper on the roof, which sent huge amounts of water tearing though the ceiling of the second story and straight though the floor into the bottom floor, ruining both apartments, as well as part of neighboring units and our laundry room.
Our apartment is exactly how we left it and we are very lucky.
