I got a chance to drop by the planton being hosted by Grupo MAIZ this morning at the Mexican Consulate on Caroline just south of Wheeler. A small group of people had assembled with banners and signs and distributing flyers in english and spanish. It was great to know that Houston is one of many places across the world representing solidarity with the social movements in Oaxaca, and very frustrating that in Houston there are so few people there.

I have to go to work but will try to go back in the evening. A lot of people will be ariving and leaving between 4-5pm, please get down there if you can.

In New York, Hundreds assembled and at least 12 were arrested, in Raleigh North Carolina, protesters have occupied the Mexican Consulate:
