Ode to John Cornyn
by O Anna Niemus Friday, Sep. 15, 2006 at 5:44 AM

John Cornyn has been an integral part of the loss of hundreds of thousands of lives in the Iraq War

Senator Cornyn is rumored to have used
an obscure Senate rule to shut down a Senate
meeting of Republicans and Democrats opposing
Bush's torture promoting bill. Some
of the Senate's most militaristic
Republicans (Warner, McCain, and
others) oppose the bill.

CORNYN

Shrieks of cageraised
netreleased birds
shot by Senator John Cornyn
foil the silent peace of the cornfields
in mornlight acorning
while the songs of
birds far from Cornyn
are in their throats aborning
and the sun keeps his
promise to return
to earth punctually each morning.
