After getting word that Houston had the go ahead to install a radio station, a radio kit was driven to the Houston Astrodome on Sunday and set up on Monday. Here are some images of it being set up and broadcasting live within a three mile radius. The station is permitted thru efforts of the Prometheus Radio Project, Houston Indymedia and other local activists. Broadcasting will be live and non-stop until all the evacuees have gotten housing and services.

10,000 radios were bought and then donated to the evacuees. Volunteers attached batteries and stickers to the radios before giving them out.
